Phone Call to the Supreme Court of Canada

Hello, I am trying to contact the Supreme Court of Canada with regards to an emergency situation actually that requires the court to help. I have already tried to contact the provincial court. But I do feel this is an emergency situation so I am trying to find someone to help urgently.

So essentially, the Mental Health Act in Ontario has a Section 16 which essentially allows for private citizens to report other people as having a mental illness and causing the police to bring them to psychiatric facilities against their will.

The law does not contain any sign of due process, like there's no trial or ability to defend yourself, so I feel like... I need... I have been personally taken to a psychiatric facility based on this, this form under the Mental Health Act and I believe the information is false. I need the court to investigate the information that was provided under oath to determine if it was incorrect. This is the only way I can see to allow myself to have the due process I am, like I am required under section 7 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms to have due process, to have a trial, to be able to defend myself, right, but the Mental Health Act in section 16 does not have that, right. It just says, if a bunch of people think you have a mental illness, right, they can contact the court, and then, and they'll tell the court whatever they want, right, and you, you know, without even talking to the person, that, you know, that might have mental illness, right, and then just have the police just come take them, right. And there's no way to defend yourself, right.

So I am worried about my family doing this again. That's why it's an emergency situation, right. I am worried about my family filling out this form again and trying to have me taken to a psychiatric facility, and I do, I have contacted the police, and cannot get anyone to tell me how I defend myself from this, this, like, accusation that I have a mental illness, right. There's no way to defend myself from the accusation I have a mental illness, right.

So I personally believe that the Mental Health Act itself violates, at the very least, I think it violates section 9 on arbitrary detention, right. Because I was arbitrarily detained when I was not suspected of a crime and have not committed a crime, right. It also violates section 7 to due process, right, because I was arrested essentially right, taken forcibly to a psychiatric facility against my will, without the ability to defend myself, right. That, I, I, I think that, it seems like I should have rights under section 7, right.

So I am, I'm kinda frustrated. I feel like this is an emergency situation, because I am worried about the motivations of my family and the people who filled out the forms. I do not know why they are trying to force me to go to a psychiatric facility and I am concerned that they have ulterior motives, they may be trying to cause me harm. I have told the police, and the police are reluctant to investigate, right.

So I need the court, or someone who has the ability to, uh, you know, do something, to like, issue some kind of ruling. I need, I need the court to specify that I do not have a mental illness. That's my goal, right. And there's no way in the law to have that done, uh, without, I dunno, the court's help. Someone's gotta do something.

So please contact me. My name is Shane O'Connell. My phone number is [redacted]. My email address is [redacted], spelt [redacted]. And my website address, where I have, I have described these visits to the psychiatric facility on my website, so that I am trying to convince other people that this is, what happened to me was unethical and probably illegal. My website is https://shane.oconnell.cc. Uh, so I think that's all the information. So please contact me, like, email's the best way to contact me, please read my website, and please, help me, like, I, I do not have a mental illness. The court cannot be harming my reputation and sending me to mental facilities with no ability to defend myself, right. It just does not seem, it seems unconstitutional.

Uh, so, I really, I feel like the court should intervene. And I feel I do not need a lawyer, because this is just like fundamentally, like, this is an, this is an emergency, my rights were violated, you know, and I need urgent, uh uh, like, satisfaction, you know. I need urgent, urgently be addressed, right. Because I am worried about my safety, right. Thank you, please contact me.
